This will end quicklyPosted by: Michael Slater in Uncategorized, tags: escape, prison, Untitled
This idiot clearly didn’t read the Wired Magazine article on vanishing. I doubt he’ll be enjoying Christmas dinner outside prison walls. The black marker making shadow and the spare color markers on shin and forearms give this drab pencil sketch so much life and energy I can’t believe it. Inspiring! The artist was Arthur Sanoff, pinup painter. It’s actually only a four hour flight to Taipei. I recalled it being 5+ hours, but I guess I’m mistaken. I haven’t done the SINGAPORE/TAIWAIN/LA route in years and years. Anyway, got here quickly, then took a bus to the city. Struggled a bit to find our obscure hotel, but it turns out to be fine. A single bed and free ADSL is all I need. We ate at a street restaurant tonight. Supposed to be a seafood restaurant. The fish was like a small, nasty version of tilapia (which itself is a boney, nasty fish). But the rest of the dishes were very good:
After three of us searched high and low for the ethernet plug, the front desk guy helpfully pointed out that it was on the ceiling. Now that I’ve checked my mail and twitter (my latest fetish), it’s time to retire to one of the strange sub-versions of Kirin beer I bought at 7-11 and resume reading Ernest Hemingway’s, “True at First Light.” |
