Silver Case

Ling and I certainly have been enjoying Boston Legal. We’re working through Season I right now.

(We just watched two episodes as I drank scotch and she polished her purses when she announced, “no more Boston Legal” I asked, “then what do you want to watch?” Answer: Millennium. ahahah no joke……….

Last night I finally figured out why Ling and I are a viable couple.

I brought back several sets of DVDs from my USA trip. We tried watching Deadwood last week, but I was too sleepy to hear the mumbly-audio and as Ling said, “you should know me by now — I hate cowboy shows.”

So last night she asked, “what else can we watch? How about that ‘Millennium’ show?”

I agreed, but I was thinking to myself, “what’s the punchline here? ‘If you disliked Deadwood, you’re going to detest Millennium”?’.

We watched the pilot.

Turns out she loved it! Hahhahahah who would have guessed?

This is after enduring a decade’s worth of taunts by Stas, Roger, and Matt, all who can’t stand the show to one degree or another (Stas being a very strong degree on the spectrum).

It wasn’t a passing fancy. She just shouted upstairs to hurry up so that I can get a shower and we can begin watching at 9pm tonight, in order to pack in two episodes…….

I’m sitting here with my $10 Ikea lapdesk using my computer in the bedroom while Ling watches some horrible reality tv show with Bruce Jenner playing the part of Ozzy Osbourne and some other woman who looks like Sharon Osbourne. The kids look better the fat Osbourne kids at least.

I was surprised by his massive house. Lots of Wheaties residuals I guess. Then I made a remark that a Bruce Jenner reality show is scraping the barrel bottom.

Ling says, “this isn’t about Bruce Jenner, it’s about the Kardashians”   

“Huh? Then why is Bruce Jenner in their living room?”

“Because he’s the step-dad,” she explained.

Ooops, my bad!

My only comment? Bruce Jenner is Frank Black
